How long have you guys been in business?
We have been in business more than 13 years, and are a privately held company. We have shipped over 200 different packages to projects throughout North America and overseas.
What equipment do you use? Who are your equipment vendors?
We are “vendor agnostic.” Our aim is to give our clients exactly what they are looking for and not tell them “this is what we have, do you want it?” We are the true definition of a custom modular data center builder.
So, what is the relationship between Epsilon and Data Centers Delivered?
Epsilon is our parent company and has been successful in the traditional commercial construction/HVAC world for many years. Based on client input, we saw the need to create a specific entity to serve the mission critical market to meet our clients’ design/fabrication/deployment expectations. Data Centers Delivered is “Powered by Epsilon.”
Which part of the data center do you build in a modular fashion?
We build all parts of the data center, including white space, electrical infrastructure, mechanical infrastructure, etc. We offer these products and services as part of a whole project or individually to fit the job requirements.
How long does it take to build a fully custom modular data center?
That depends on several factors like Tier Rating, Total Critical Load, physical size, etc. We have found that generally we can deliver a custom modular system in less than half the time it takes to construct a traditional field-built data center.
How do you compare to field-build costs?
Typically, costs for our solution are lower than for traditional field construction. When looking for a true cost comparison, there are both hard and soft costs that need to be considered. The cost differential will vary with the size and type of facility (for example, Tier Rating), location of the site, and cost of local labor. A big advantage for off-site data center construction is the ability to offer a consistent costing model over a wide range of project locations.
Do I need to consider other disciplines when using your solution? How do you handle stamped drawings and Construction Management services?
We provide an end-to-end product offering. We work with local partners to provide stamped engineering drawings, permitting, and Construction Management services. We are equally comfortable working with a construction team you already have on board, or with whom you currently have a successful relationship.
